I am currently working as an Assistant Professor (Economics) in Centre for Quantitative Economics and Data Science at Birla Institute of Technology (Mesra). My primary area of research and expertise lies in labour markets, climate change and monetary policy. My work focuses on emerging economies. Additionally, I have worked in the field of economics of education among low income households. My dissertation studies informal labour markets and its implication on monetary policy in India. I have a diverse education and work background. I have a PhD in Economics from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. I hold a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and MA in Economics. I have worked in After-sales marketing of India's largest automobile manufacturer. I switched over to social sector afterwards working with an education non-profit to improve learning outcomes in low income schools in Delhi. I have been associated with TISS, Mumbai and INSEAD, Singapore for various research projects. I am looking for collaborations in research ventures in field of economics and social sciences. I work freelance as well, providing research consultancy in field of climate change, labour economics, and economics of education. |
